Outline

Young researchers from Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, will be invited to Faculty of Engineering, Kyushu University to learn about engineering technologies for future hydrogen utilization in Malaysia. Kyushu University has established unique and highly advanced research facilities for hydrogen utilization technologies. The invited Malaysian young researchers can learn about these hydrogen research facilities and use them to evaluate physical characteristics of engineering materials in hydrogen environment. On the other hand, Kyushu University will send young researchers to MJIIT to learn about research activities on eco-friendly tribo-materials at MJIIT, mainly focusing on plant-based materials obtained from the rich natural environment of Malaysia. The acquired knowledge will be used to develop a collaborative research plan for applying plant-based tribo-materials to hydrogen energy systems. This exchange plan aims to establish a research-network between young researchers in Japan and Malaysia for next-generation green energy systems with hydrogen and environment-compatible machine elements.
