Outline
The development of next-generation secondary batteries capable of operating in various environments has become an important task in a net-zero society. At the Graduate School of Science of Osaka University, a unique hydrated potassium superionic conductor 'K-NCIS' was developed in 2019 and its potential application for aqueous all-solid-state secondary batteries was proposed. Under this NEXUS exchange program, Osaka University will invite two principal investigator (PI) researchers from partner institutions in Thailand. The program aims to share the research spirits that emphasizes originality, as well as the innovative analytical techniques that supported the development of K-NCIS. This program will promote the development of scientific talent capable of leading materials science beyond conventional boundaries and serve as an opportunity for international joint research in the field of energy materials development.
