Outline
Research Data Management (RDM), which aims to contribute to research fairness and the sharing and utilization of knowledge by appropriately storing and managing research data, is a pressing issue worldwide, and various efforts have been started in academic research institutions in Japan. In this proposed project, Kyoto University, together with partner institutions, will dispatch RDM experts to Vietnam to provide vocational training to young researchers and practitioners who are involved in or support RDM at research institutions at the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and Vietnam Japan University. The training will use examples of practice at Kyoto University's RDM Support Center, the GakuNin RDM operation concept provided by the National Institute of Informatics, and the "Construction of a Multilingual Research Resource Shared Database for Regional Research Information" developed by the Center for Southeast Asian Area Studies. After completing the training, participants will be able to teach the knowledge and operation methods to build and apply RDM schemes in their respective institutions.
The project also aims to create opportunities to build, maintain, and develop human exchanges for future joint research between the two countries.
