Outline

This program is an academic exchange in which students studying environmental-friendly urban design at Tokyo City University and students studying landscape architecture at University Technology Malaysia will work together to consider how future urban designs can be cooler in summer for urban dwellers. The students will reevaluate the urban environment in Japan and ASEAN countries, which is worsening due to global warming, with the common keyword of “heat mitigation in the city,” and learn from each other about the advanced active technology in Japan and the traditional passive technology in Malaysia, which have been cultivated in urban green technology that contributes to urban cooling. Through this program, we aim to conduct future-oriented academic exchanges for the development of next-generation green infrastructure.
