OVER VIEW
Technologies of both the economical conversion of renewable energy to transportable substances and the use of those substances are now required, and the research and development is progressing worldwide. Although the infrastructure and the utilization method of the energy are different depending on countries, and the perspectives of technology is also different, it is critically important for all of us that we exchange information in this area. Therefore we have invited specialists, from both Japan and abroad, who are active at the leading edge of these fields. They will present the most recent technologies, the effects on society of those technologies, the issues that must be dealt with in the future, and the future prospect. We expect that we will deepen our understanding of renewable energy.
