Jean-Philippe Touffut has a Ph.D. in economics (1999) from the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) in Paris and the Lomonossov University of Moscow. He has taught at the Université de Paris XII and at the EHESS. Cofounder of the Cournot Centre for Economic Studies in Paris, he has been the director of the foundation since 2000. He coordinated the Franco-German work group established by the Chancellor of Germany and the President of France from November 2004 to December 2006 and the scientific advisory board of the Agence de l’innovation industrielle from December 2005 to December 2007.
