Regulation of organ formation by manipulation of auxin biosynthesis in plants

The phytohormone auxin plays a critical role in the regulation of plant growth and development. The regulation of organ formation by the spatiotemporal manipulation of auxin biosynthesis potentially increases biomass, secondary metabolite and crop productions. Plants have several distinct pathways for biosynthesis of auxin. This project focuses on the regulation of organ formation by the spatiotemporal manipulation of several auxin biosynthesis pathways in plants.
