The purpose of my research is to understand the time sensing system of our cells. The circadian rhythm is a fundamental biological system. Although it has been investigated the molecular mechanisms of mammalian circadian clock, we are still far from understanding of principles the circadian clock. To solve this question, I focus on the developmental process of circadian clock. Using the mouse ES cells and reprogramming technology, I have shown the generation of circadian oscillator depends on an intrinsic program that correlates with the cellular differentiation process in mammalian cells. Principles of circadian clock could be reside in this process.
