Non-human primate ES cells have not been successfully produced genetic modified human disease animals. Induced Pluripotent Stem (iPS) cells are important tools for not only regenerative medicine but also reproductive biology. It would be a powerful tool to assess safety and efficacy of regenerative medicine if non-human primate iPS cells could produce non-human animal disease models.
