Researchers Theme Outline
Eye-tracking is a key technology for developing an information environment of next generation. Existing systems require users to attach special hardwares such as eye cameras and to move in a limited area. On the contrary, my research aims to develop a new eye-tracking system that doesn't require to attach hardware. Our system consists of time-coded pattern projector and PTZ (Pan-tilt-zoom) eye-tracking camera. Here, the projector illumines the environment with a time-coded pattern and the eye-tracking cameras capture the reflected images on eye surfaces. Gaze tracking is achieved by matching the time-code pattern of environment illuminations and eye surface reflections.
