Content

The immune system is an important regulatory system that involves the maintenance of homeostasis in the living body by sensing exogenous and endogenous substances in various tissues and organs. In this project, I focus on pattern recognition receptors in the innate immune system and investigate their regulatory roles in pathogenesis of obesity-associated metabolic dysfunctions. This approach will help to understand the molecular mechanisms by which the immune system regulates homeostasis of the metabolic/endocrine system in a physiological setting.
