I will examine the metal complex-based syntheses of nanowire-shaped semiconductor photocatalysts composed of several constituent elements, to construct a method for enhancing powder photocatalyst that is active for overall water splitting or H2/O2 evolution in the presence of a sacrificial reagent under ultraviolet or visible light irradiation. In addition to demonstration of synthetic versatility, this work focuses on "emergence of functionality which contributes to enhancement of photocatalytic property" by understanding the high-ordered organization process of such nanowires.
