The molecules are spontaneously aggregated into periodic nanostructures larger size of the molecules. In this study, such self-assemblies are fabricated in desired positions by applying top-down method using macro-fabricated substrates as molds. Furthermore, the direction of the self-assemblies is finely manipulated via an oriented growth approach, which should open the new door to highly functional materials for the futures.
