Spin waves can be applied to low-power multi-input-multi-output logic gates based on its wave functionality realized without electron travelling. In particular, spin waves propagating in yttrium iron garnets (YIG) films are suitable for integration. Hence, in this study, these researchers demonstrated fundamental logic gates (NAND and NOR) using -shaped spin wave waveguides composed of YIG. This element has three inputs and one output. This also works as a majority gate for information processing systems.
