A Review of PV Output Suppression in Japan under Modified Feed-in Tariff Scheme
Summary
Japan instituted a feed-in tariff scheme for renewable energies in July 2012 and it has been contributing to rapid progress in installing renewable energy, especially PV systems. However, some renewable energy companies are facing difficulties with regards to connection to the power grid.
In this proposal, we present research on the introduction and prediction of output control of PV systems. We also evaluated PV output suppression using sensitivity analysis.
The LCS has proposed a future dynamic and affluent low carbon society based on quantitative technology scenarios resulting from the quantitative analysis of the efficiency, as well as the economic and environmental sustainability of low carbon technologies, such as PV power and battery systems. This proposal will be the basis for developing long-term scenarios and strategies to install more regional PV systems.
Alongside continuous evaluation of low carbon technologies, LCS will also develop a hydrogen energy system using PV power output suppression systems.
