In general, proteins consist of structural and functional units "modules". In this project, I try to create novel functional proteins, which can monitor intracellular environment such as heme concentration or oxidative stress, by using protein engineering based on modular structures of proteins, and by making full use of physical chemistry, organic chemistry, and biological chemistry.
