Full understanding of biological systems requires methods for spatio-temporal analysis of biomolecular function and dynamics in living systems. This research project aims to develop optical probes to visualize cyclic nucleotides and RNAs and to regulate RNA transription in living opaque subjects. With technological innovations of the probe molecules, this project aims to find novel biological functions of these small molecules.
