In this research, we develop a non-contact and non-destructive method to measure the phase information of biological cells at an ultra fast and precise manner. To facilitate the performance, we use a phase lock technique along with recording the phase information in the holographic optical buffer memory. Our goal is to elucidate the biological phenomena by measuring the phase information of biological cells, especially nerve cells, at a nanometer scale in real time.
