| In this study, I will develop novel microscopy that simultaneously allows manipulation (stretching or twisting) of single DNA molecules and single molecule fluorescence imaging of protein molecules that are interacting with it. With this microscopy, dynamic DNA/protein interactions could be elucidated both temporally and spatially at the single molecule level by simultaneously monitoring the DNA mechanical change and the fluorescence emitted by the labeled protein molecules or nucleotides. |
