| Caged proteins are functional proteins whose activities are protected by a photocleavable functional group. The major purpose of the present study is to develop a general strategy for synthesizing caged proteins. The developed caged proteins are used to switch on specific intracellular signaling pathways at will. And by measuring cellular events, the network of signaling molecules will be studied. |
