Two-photon microscopy is a powerful tool which allows observing the activities of neurons in intact brains. In this study, two-photon microscopy system is developed to image and modulate the neuronal activities in intact brains with high spatial- and temporal-resolution, and synaptic integration in single neurons and the functional structures of neural networks are investigated to understand the information processing in the brain.
