Abstract

The DSL ribozyme, one of a new class of non-natural RNA enzymes, exhibits some remarkable properties. The objective of this project is to develop further this ribozyme as practical tools for RNA technology. By using rational redesign and directed evolution, the DSL ribozyme-based systems for one-pot RNA-RNA ligation, one-pot tagging of full-length m-RNA, or small molecule sensing will be constructed.
