In the present research project, chemical reaction fields with nanometer dimensions are realized by a mechanical interaction between laser light and molecules/nanoparticles in solution.
Quantitative study on molecular motions and concentrations in optical force potentials by single molecule detection methods with a confocal microscope will permit comprehensive understanding of the mechanical interaction between photons and nano-materials, providing the optimal condition under which nanometer-sized reaction fields can function effectively.
