Nanostructure and Material Property
This research field covers the science and the technology
of nanostructure materials. Materials which are well
controlled near to the atomic and molecular level of
precision, their clusters, their hybrid combination
with other materials, as well as the methodology of
fabrication, control and evaluation of these materials
are included in the scope. The concrete background of
featuring this topical field is the prevailing expectation
that the novel artificial materials with nanometer scale
structure will be able to show completely new material
properties, and that these can function superior than
conventional bulk materials when applied to various
objectives such as information technology, medical/biological
technology, and energy generation/saving. Therefore
any pioneering research proposals are encouraged which
are related to novel or high performance materials,
with nanometer size structures and potential applicability
to human welfare, focusing either of material design,
synthesis, fabrication, evaluation of material property,
or device fabrication trials.
