Primitive intellgence for space and time by true slime mold
We study how intelligent behaviors of unicellular organism Physarum plasmodium emerge. We have ound that the organism has ability to solve geometrical puzzles like maze and multiple-location-networking problem, and to memorize periodicity of environmental changes, for instance. In this project, I will figure out mechanisms of natural computing in terms of nonlinear dynamics, which may lead to elucidation for possible evolutionary origin of intelligence in higher organisms.
