Primitive intellgence for space and time by true slime mold |
We study how intelligent behaviors of unicellular organism Physarum plasmodium emerge. We have
ound that the organism has ability to solve geometrical puzzles like maze and multiple-location-networking
problem, and to memorize periodicity of environmental changes, for instance. In this project, I will figure
out mechanisms of natural computing in terms of nonlinear dynamics, which may lead to elucidation for
possible evolutionary origin of intelligence in higher organisms.
