Development of Multi-Layered Cellular Motility Model
Cell motility is one of the universal phenomena in living matter. Although molecular mechanisms regulating cell motility have been gradually clarified, it is still unclear how they relate to the whole movement of the cell. Therefore, in this study, a method by which whole movement of the cell is analyzed in connection with its underlying molecular mechanisms is proposed, and a numerical model for cell motility is developed. Such an approach should contribute to our understanding of the overall mechanisms of cell motility.
