Dynamic cellular information processing in membrane-cytosol coupled reaction systems
The signaling molecules inside the cells have different information characteristics dependening on their diffusion properties and life time.In particular, molecules on the membrane is appropriate for keeping local information, while molecules in cytosol can integrate such local information into celluar behaviors. Focusing the difference in the information properties of these molecules, I will study the mechanism of gradient sensing and spontaneous signal formation of the cell. The model obtained in this project will be applicable to many kinds of cellular biology problems.
