Elucidation of the mechanism regulating plant growth through auxin modulation
Abstract
Plants control metabolism of phytohormone auxin, and regulate cell growth, division, and differentiation, and thus body size, development, reproduction of individuals, and so on. This study aims to elucidate the molecular mechanism regulating plant growth through auxin modulation, especially the mechanism regulating biosynthesis, metabolism, and polar transport of auxin in response to light stimulation. This research is developing basic technologies to improve the productivity of crops and the ability to adapt to the environmental stress in plants.
