Regulatory mechanism of development and innate immune by brassinosteroid signalling
Abstract
Brassinosteriods are sterol-derived plant growth regulators with important biological activities, including promotion of cell elongation, negative regulation of chloroplast development and so on. Brz was synthesized as the first specific inhibitor of brassinosteroid biosynthesis. We screened for mutants that showed longer hypocotyls than wild type when grown with Brz in the dark, and designated bil mutants (Brz-insensitive-long hypocotyl). By the plant chemical genetics, we try to reveal the regulatory mechanism plant development and innate immune by brassinosteroid signalling.
