Analysis of metabolic network regulated by senescence signals
Abstract
The aim of this study is to develop a novel strategy for the treatment of age-associated diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease by analyzing the relationship between the pathogenesis of these diseases and aging. I have already found that aging or high-calorie diet intake promotes fat senescence. The senescence of fat tissue leads to metabolic dysfunction in various organs including liver, thereby inducing glucose intolerance. Thus, the identification of regulatory molecules associated with fat senescence will provide new insights into the treatment of metabolic disorder.
