pH homeostasis of cellular organelles and its regulation of protein transport
Abstract
Each cellular organelle maintains proper luminal pH. The control of acidification of Golgi is fundamental homeostasis. In this study, I aim to clarify the mechanisms by which the Golgi pH is regulated and how protein transport is regulated by Golgi pH, by analyzing newly established mutant cells in which the Golgi pH is raised and impaired protein trafficking, glycosylation and the structure of Golgi are accompanied.
