We are pleased to inform you that the Seminar/Workshop Series for Researcher Professional Development will be held regularly under "the Comprehensive Support Project for the Strategic Professional Development Program for Young Researchers." Participation is free of charge, so please feel free to invite others and join in.

Abstract

This webinar will explore the benefits of professional and career development for researchers. This will include the importance of self-reflection by researchers and how the knowledge, behaviours and competencies of successful researchers identified in the Researcher Development Framework, originated by Vitae a non-profit organization for the researcher development in UK, can be used by researchers to identify their strengths and areas for development. It also covers how academic supervisors can support their researchers to be self-reflective and become better researchers.

Dr. Janet Metcalfe(The Head of Vitae)

Dr. Janet Metcalfe is the Head of Vitae, committed to providing world-class career and professional development for researchers. She is responsible for the strategic direction of Vitae and leads the implementation of the UK Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers. The activity has been influencing over 200 institutions in 20 countries in the world. To praise her originated achievements for supporting researcher development, Janet was awarded an OBE (Order of the British Empire) in 2019’s Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
