豊田教授が第9回岡崎賞を受賞しました！

概要
埼玉大学大学院理工学研究科の豊田正嗣教授が、第9回岡崎賞を受賞しました。今回の受賞は、日本在住の日本人として初めての快挙となるものです。
【受賞理由】革新的なライブイメージング技術による植物のメカノ刺激に対するシグナル伝達の分子機構の解明
岡崎賞は、名古屋大学特別教授である岡崎恒子先生、および名古屋大学教授であった故 岡崎令治先生の精神と功績を称え、毎年、革新的かつ独創的なアプローチや変革的な技術を通じて生物学分野に顕著な貢献をした若手研究者に授与され、今後のさらなる成功を奨励する目的で 2015 年に創設された国際賞です。
11月27日(木)、名古屋大学にて「第11回 ITbM 国際シンポジウム」の中で「第9回 岡崎賞授賞式」が開催され、豊田教授による受賞記念講演が行われました。

Professor Toyota Receives the 9th Okazaki Award!
Professor Masatsugu Toyota of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering at Saitama University has been
selected as the recipient of the 9th Okazaki Award. This marks the first time that a Japanese researcher based in Japan has received this award. The award ceremony was held on Thursday, November 27, at Nagoya University as part of the 11th ITbM International Symposium, and Professor Toyota gave a commemorative lecture during the ceremony.
The Okazaki Award is an international prize established in 2015 to honor the spirit and achievements of Professor Tsuneko Okazaki and Professor Reiji Okazaki, who conducted research at Nagoya University on the mysteries of DNA replication. The award recognizes young researchers who have made outstanding contributions to the field of biology through innovative and revolutionary approaches or transformative technologies, and it aims to encourage their continued success.
