We have developed organoid technology that extracts a single stem cell from human organ tissues and reconstructs the original tissue-like "structure." However, current organoid technology cannot adequately replicate tissue functions.

The ERATO project "SATO Organoid Design" aims to advance organoid technology from three perspectives: "structure," "energy," and "information," creating entirely new functional organoids.

Through the development of cutting-edge technologies, Organoid Design seeks to unveil the mechanisms underlying human tissue function and disease pathogenesis that have remained shrouded in mystery.
