Research Theme
Dynamical Systems Theory for Hydrospheric EnveironmentsThe goal of the project is to create a mathmatical theory of nonlinear dynamical systems that is applicable to environmental issues in hydrosphere such as rivers, lakes, inland seas and ponds. Based on a theory of the inviscid and incompressible fluids in multiply connected regions, I study the flow pattern formation and the evolution of vortex structures and passive/reactive/biological scalars with the techniques of nonlinear dynamical systems as well as the high-performance numerical methods.
