Regulation of chronic inflammation by proinflammatory mediators
Excessive/inappropriate production of proinflammatory mediators by certain immune cells results in the development of chronic inflammatory diseases. On the other hand, the lack of certain proinflammatory mediators/cells also leads to the delayed resolution of inflammation in some cases. Thus, they have a dual role in the setting as proinflammatory and anti-inflammatory mediators/cells. The goals of this study are the clarification of molecular mechanism for the regulation of chronic inflammation by proinflammatory mediators/cells in vivo.
