Tomohiro Sawa – Regulatory mechanisms of reactive oxygen species signaling in chronic inflammation

Researcher

Tomohiro Sawa
Professor, Department of Microbiology, Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Kumamoto University
Research Theme
Regulatory mechanisms of reactive oxygen species signaling in chronic inflammation

This study will focus on the signaling function of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which are produced excessively in inflammatory conditions. A better understanding of the mechanisms and roles of ROS signaling in chronic inflammation-associated diseases is a necessary basis for the development of novel diagnostics and therapeutics targeted for ROS signaling regulation.
