Currently, I am doing my research study in Kumamoto University as a PhD short-term exchange student. Sakura Science program has directed me to a high standard university in Japan that could help me on my research.
I have been staying here in Japan for already 9 months. So far, I have been enjoying the place, the food including the kind people. My professors are very supportive and friendly. Also, I have gained a lot of Japanese friends and foreign students too. I can also go for trips during holidays.
I encourage junior students to join Sakura Science Program because there is a lot to learn and enjoy from this event. The small talks within the program will allow students to have an idea of other researches that can also be useful to their own researches. This event also allows student to possibly find a supervisor in an institution in Japan. Aside from that, you will have the chance to know a bit of Japan, the places and the people, during the 10 day stay.
