Proposing a scenario and road map to realize a nature friendly society model for the sustainable Shiga

In the modern era, the entire world is directed toward the pursuit of a sustainable society. Also in Japan, new attempts for it have begun in various scales and forms. Nevertheless, there has been no full-scale engagement of prefectures in such a movement.
The objective of this project is to propose the model of the sustainable society at the prefecture level by cooperating and organizing various eco-developments and activities done now for sustainable Shiga.
For this purpose, the relevant parties (residents, local governments, universities and Industrial circle) in Shiga prefecture advances the experimental study to achieve sustainable society in this project together.
