JST set up JST Stand at an Annual Meeting of AAAS
- the World's Largest General Scientific Society

Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) set up a JST stand at an annual meeting held by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in San Jose, California. The AAAS is the world's largest general scientific society as well as the publisher of the American scientific journal Science.

At the stand, several JST staff members delivered explanations regarding JST's programs and research results utilizing banners and a video. They welcomed more than 540 visitors over three days. As in previous years, JST explained its profile and programs, such as SICP, SICORP, and SATREPS, which promote international collaborative research. This year, JST also displayed banners promoting activities of the Strategic Basic Research Programs, the Promoting Technology Transfer and Innovation, and the Center for Science Communication. The JST stand was a huge success and the Exhibitor Workshop (*), which we again conducted following last year's format, also attracted a large number of visitors and questioners. Thus, the JST stand was highly appreciated by the visitors. Utilizing the experience we gained at these events, JST would like to continue making every effort to disseminate scientific information to the world.

The next annual meeting of the AAAS is scheduled for February 2016 in Washington, D.C.
