In the session on ”Funding the future", each participant presented their activities supporting human resources in research, and a regional statement of principles to which each funding agency is expected to adhere, was endorsed. Regarding "Open access to publications", opinions were exchanged in review of the implementation of the GRC Open Access Action Plan which was endorsed at the 2nd GRC Summit in May earlier this year.
The outcome of this meeting and those of the other regional meetings will be summarized by the GRC International Steering Committee and presented at the 3rd annual meeting of the GRC in May 2014.
