Dr. Nobuhide Kasagi, Principal Fellow at CRDS, Professor Emeritus at The University of Tokyo, received the Luikov Medal from the International Centre for Heat and Mass Transfer (ICHMT). This is the result from his development of new experimental and computational methodology at The University of Tokyo, his superior research achievements in the field of thermal fluid engineering, and years of international activity.

Dr. Kasagi is currently managing the “Environment and Energy Unit” at CRDS with these experiences. He is also a research supervisor of “Phase Interface Science for Highly Efficient Energy Utilization” in CREST and “Phase Interfaces for Highly Efficient Energy Utilization” in PRESTO.

The award ceremony is to be held at The 15th International Heat Transfer Conference (IHTC-15) in Kyoto in August, 2014.

The “Environment and Energy Unit” at CRDS has been publishing “Panoramic View of the Environment and Energy Field (2013)”, “Research Report: Technology Survey on Advanced Utilization of Medium to Low Temperature Heat” and so on since the last Japanese fiscal year. CRDS is also releasing the Strategic Proposals, Research Report, and others on its website in PDF.
