Visit of a study group from University of Copenhagen, Denmark

A study group consisting of approximately 30 students from the Department of Economics, University of Copenhagen, Denmark, visited JST, Tokyo. This study group visited Japan to deepen their consideration of Japan that possesses world leading economic power and high technology, and is also facing the problem of aging like they are in Denmark. The personnel of Development of Industry-Academic Collaboration, Department of Green Innovation, and Research Institute of Science & Technology for Society (RISTEX) of JST provided business overviews from the viewpoint of environmental issues and a response to the aging society that JST has been addressing. In response to our presentation, the study group asked questions regarding what actions Japan is going to take for a clean energy policy, how Japan will respond to as an aging society, etc, which led to a vigorous exchange of opinions.

JST, an integrated organization of science and technology in Japan, establishes an infrastructure for the entire process from the creation of knowledge to the return to the society. For more information, visit http://www.jst.go.jp/EN/
