Abstract

In this project, I will elucidate degradation mechanism of organic thin-film solar cells accompanied with charge accumulation from microscopic viewpoints by an innovative technology due to fusion of different fields between an electron spin resonance (ESR) that is a highly sensitive and accurate method and a fabrication skill of organic devices, which is capable of investigating microscopic properties of organic devices at molecular level. On the basis of the obtained degradation mechanism, I will improve device structures and evaluate the device performance in order to bring significant improvement of device durability, which will contribute to commercialization of organic solar cells.
