Development of novel woody biomass materials by regulating intracellular self organization and nano bio machines

Recently we have established a novel in vitro cell culture system for wood cell differentiation and revealed the key molecules that regulate cellulose patterning. In this project, by using our wood cell culture system, we aim to develop the novel technique that enables us to flexibly regulate cellulose microfibril deposition. This project should contribute to production of useful cellulose biomass materials.
