In this study, we aim for the innovation of carbon dioxide recycling by development of novel biomass-derived materials and exploitation of their use. We try to develop integrated processes for the production of high-performance polyimidazole bio-plastics from plant biomass. For this purpose, we are going to address the following studies; (i) molecular breeding of microorganisms to produce aromatic compounds, (ii) development of a process for fermentative production of each of the aromatic compounds from plant biomass, and (iii) syntheses of bio-plastics using bio-based aromatic compounds and characterization of their performances.
