In cardiogenesis, to understand the mechanisms of maintenance for cardiac stem cells or to establish the new method for reprogramming cell fate from differentiated cells to cardiac progenitors will be critical for tissue regenerative medicine. In this project, I am focusing on tissue-specific chromatin remodeling factors, a member of epigenetic signaling, to address induction mechanisms for cardiac progenitors and stem cells. In addition, I will generate new methods for direct differentiation from fibroblasts to cardiac cells or cardiac progenitors without iPS cells pathway on purpose to help severe heart failure patients.
