The aim of this research is to establish the validation methodology of the effects of the pathogenic genomic copy number aberration during the natural history of the brain formation. In this study, we will derive iPS cell lines from patients with congenital brain abnormalities occurred by genomic copy number aberration. Furthermore, we will examine neural differentiation and analyze them compared to control by a variety of techniques. These systems will allow us understand the pathogenesis of not only congenital brain anomaly but also epilepsy and mental retardation, potentially discover a new therapeutic strategy to treat patients.
