Researchers Theme Outline
Human hearing can resolve layers of temporally fluctuating information more efficiently than vision. With the latest measurement and visualization techniques that capture the dynamic behaviors of living organisms, current research methods in life sciences strongly rely on vision. In this project, we transform such dynamic behaviors into sound in a perceptually meaningful manner, employing the knowledge from psychoacoustics and music psychology. We aim for a transition in biological research toward the comprehension of liveliness by exploring the dynamic aspects of life with audition.
