Researchers Theme Outline

In order to ensure safety of assistive products, evaluation processes need to be adequately designed based on body functions, activities and environmental factors of the target users. This research developes an assessment support system for R&D of assistive products, which aids design of evaluation protocols and integrated collection and analysis of multi-modal evaluation data. The support system especially focuses on relationship analysis between narrative and quantitative evaluation data. This approach is expected to achieve an inclusive safety assessment in consideration of psychological and emotional aspects as well as objective indices and scales.
